This webinar is designed to provide woodland owners in
Washington and Oregon with an in-depth introduction to the Environmental
Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), a voluntary conservation program
administered by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). EQIP
provides cost share and assistance payments for the implementation of certain
conservation practices such as pre‐commercial
thinning, stand release, culvert replacements for fish passage,
and other practices important to improving and maintaining the health of
natural resources in the area.
Staff from both the Washington and Oregon NRCS offices will present on the EQIP
application process, project ranking and selection, eligible practices,
contract development, payment schedule, and more. The webinar will also feature
presentations from two Technical Service Providers (TSPs), individuals
qualified to provide technical assistance on behalf of the USDA. TSPs can assist
landowners with conservation planning, design, installation, and checkout of
approved conservation practices. Finally, the webinar will conclude with
a testimonial from a woodland owner who has successfully implemented an EQIP
project on their property.
We have a great line up of speakers for this webinar and hope that you can join
us!
