NCF Membership Reductions Available in Six Oregon Counties

As part of an economic recovery grant, woodland owners in Clatsop, Columbia, Washington, Tillamook, Yamhill, and Polk counties can receive substantial discounts on first year membership in Northwest Certified Forestry.

Thanks to a USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant designed to help local economies recover from last winter's intense storms and timber loss, woodland owners in Clatsop, Columbia, Washington, Tillamook, Yamhill and Polk Counties can receive assistance toward first year membership in Northwest Certified Forestry (NCF).

In partnership with Sustainable Northwest, NNRG is offering this assistance as part of a comprehensive rural development strategy that includes FSC certification, NW Neutral carbon project development, educational tools and programming, case studies, and market development services to landowners, manufacturers, and distributors.

Membership assistance is determined by acreage:

  • Family (<100 acres) - Reduced from $230 to $50
  • Small (101 - 200 acres) - Reduced from $330 to $90
  • Large (201+ acres) - Reduced on an individualized basis

Please see the NCF Membership page for a complete list of benefits, standard first year and ongoing fees, and a downloadable application.

This assistance program is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis. If you're interested in NW Neutral, NNRG's carbon offset program, send your application in time to attend our next carbon training for members, July 10th at the World Forestry Center's Magness Memorial Tree Farm in Sherwood, OR.

For more information, please contact Ian Hanna at 360-379-9421 x 2 or by email
