NNRG Introduces New Advisory Board and New Board Member

Bryan Ripka, New Board of Director Member

NNRG is pleased to announce both a new addition to our Board of Directors and the creation of an Advisory Board for long term strategic development and consultation.

New Board Member

Bryan Ripka of Seattle is the most recent addition to NNRG's Board of Directors.  Bryan is in the ProSales Division at Ecohaus where he works with architects, designers and builders helping them source the right products for their projects. Bryan has a wealth of experience in sales focusing in environmentally sound and healthy building materials and in education on various green building programs. He has always had a passionate interest in environmental issues. As a student at Portland State University he became exposed to environmentally responsible construction methods through his course work to achieve a degree in Urban Planning and Studies with a minor in Community Development.  Bryan organized the first ever green homes tour of Portland and was a member of the host committee that helped organize and bring the international Greenbuild conference to Portland. He is a member of the US Green Building Council Seattle Chapter Steering Committee and former member of the Portland Steering Committee.

NNRG welcomes Bryan to our exciting board and looks forward to his guidance and advice in the future.

Advisory Board

NNRG's new Advisory Board is comprised of individuals that represent a source of expertise that we regularly draw on to help support our program activities and fulfill our mission.  For many years these people have either been program partners or policy advisers and we would like to formally recognize their involvement in our work.  This list also demonstrates the quality of expertise we draw upon to achieve our goals. With gratitude and respect we welcome:

  • Matt Freeman-Gleason, ecohaus, Seattle, WA
  • Steve Stinson, Family Forest Foundation, Winlock, WA
  • Becky Kelley, Washington Environmental Coalition, Seattle, WA

These three people have contributed greatly to the evolution of NNRG over the years, and to the fields of green building, Family Forest advocacy, and environmental policy respectively.  We look forward to continuing to draw on their expertise and energy at our Fall Staff & Board retreat.
