Dear Friends of Forest Stewardship Council-US (FSC-US) and Northwest Natural Resource Group (NNRG),

We are pleased to announce that Ian Hanna, currently Director of NNRG’s Northwest Certified Forestry Program, will be joining the staff of FSC-US as Director of Development, effective January 1. Ian will be joining FSC-US at a critical time to help the organization launch major consumer education and market development initiatives.

At FSC-US, Ian will be leading efforts to substantially increase the organization’s resources and capacity at a time both challenging economically and yet promising, as FSC is experiencing unprecedented growth in the marketplace. Ian’s experience in fundraising, market development, and family forest certification will serve FSC stakeholders well.

Ian has served as Director of Northwest Certified Forestry at NNRG since the program’s inception in 2004, and he has been a member of the FSC-US Board of Directors since 2007. On completion of his transition to FSC-US staff, Ian will vacate his FSC-US board seat and become a candidate for the NNRG Board of Directors. He will continue to work from Port Townsend, Washington.

We are both pleased that Ian will be continuing to advance the work of both organizations in his new role with FSC-US.

Warm regards,

Corey Brinkema, President, FSC US
